Close encounters of the creepy, disturbing kind.

Ok. So, as many of you know, I work at Papa Murphy's in Chanhassen. Right next door is Rey Azteca, the local Mexican restaurant.
I closed tonight, and got out kinda late (about 10:00). As I walking out to the vehicle, past some random SUV parked in front of Rey Azteca, a female voice says "Hey!"
I turn around, and see none other than "Professor" Bowerman.

(For those who don't go to the lovely, little Mayer Lutheran High School, Bowerman [whose name I am surely butchering] is the ex-Spanish teacher who was greatly disliked by pretty much all the students. She was gone for quite a while last school year for some random organ problems, then came back to many's dismay, and eventually got into trouble harassing some students, and then disappeared for a few days. She had a one year contract, and the fear of getting sued stopped the school from firing her early during the earlier part of the year. But then she got into trouble and disappeared, and they were about to fire her anyway. But she resigned first. And left Mayer for good. [phew])

OK, so I didn't even take Spanish. But she's there, in front of the Mexican restaurant, doing what looks like stocking up on Mexican food. And she starts talking to me. Asking me what I'm doing there, what my summer plans were, if I was taking a language course, etc. All the while I was slowly walking backwards, trying to escape.

When she finally said goodbye, I turned around, started walking, and pulled out my keys. All of a sudden, she yells after me "I'm tutoring someone who's going to be going on a mission trip!" Even after we had said goodbye, she was trying to talk. It was rather pathetic. I just responded with "Cool, cool," and got out of there a few lines later.

But man, was that strange and very, very awkward.
So that's my story.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, it's onlllyyyyy tomorrow...

Yeah, so I have to take the ACT tomorrow. And you're supposed to get lots of sleep. Which is why I'm staying up to 11 and waking up at 6:30.
The good thing? I've already taken it and gotten a, cough, cough, 31, so if I do worse, it doesn't matter.
The bad thing? I still have to take a 4-5 hour test. And I didn't prepare at all. Which actually isn't different from last time.

Good luck to all the thousands of others taking the ACT tomorrow.

To you I promise...

So, over the summer, and beyond, I have vowed (or at least decided to possibly, maybe, try) to update this. Regularily. It will be difficult. The road ahead is long and treacherous. Etc., etc.

So, right now, I'm listening to a couple new songs from the up and coming Underoath Album, Define the Great Line on their purevolume page.
I like Underoath. Very much so.

That is all.

New Phone! Soon, anyways...

So, you might remember that $300 I won a while back from the speech (it has been a while).
Well, my dad severely poo-pooed the PSP idea. He's probably right. I really would get nothing done.

So, T-Mobile just came out with a wicked camera phone, so guess who's buying?
Nice stuff. 1.3 Megapixel camera, slider, 'bout as thick as a RAZR, bluetooth, amazing screen, quad-band...

Samsung t809. $250 w/ upgrade and saying I'll keep the line with them for 2 years.

Not bad. For all school readers, look for it probably Wednesday. Possibly Tuesday if all goes well.

It's Christmas... well, close enough.

Ok, so Christmas season is officially here, and that means:

Christmas music!

So, I'm importing as much as I can into iTunes. The family has a ton. Probably about 50 CD's. I'm not doing them all, of course, but a few.

Currently, I'm at:
166 songs, 9:04:47 total time, 662.2 MB

Merry Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yeah, that's it.
Yeah, I know it's a sorry excuse for a post...

BUT, you should be THANKFUL that I'm posting at all.

So there.

PSP vs. nice Cameraphone

Ok, so the school play, Brigadoon, is over, meaning I'll have much more time to post.

So, I won this Voice of Democracy speech thing at school, and have $300 (plus other money) to spend. I'm looking quite fondly at a PSP. The last portable gaming thing I've had was a gameboy color in 7th grade.

But I've been wanting a nice cameraphone (one with a decent camera, not those crappy VGA ones that everyone gets).
I've been looking at a Nokia smartphone with a 1.3 megapixel camera, but it's really expensive, especially because I'd have to buy it unlokced (no plan) and transfer my SIM card over. It's $100 more when you don't buy it through the service.

So, yeah, which should I get?
